Rubbish treatment

A peace of my mind      ..I bought a land rover discovery 3 approved vehicle from roger young saltash with the promise of peace of mind yet  only just past my 90 000 service my clutch failed suddenly whilst reversing uphill not a big challenge for a landy you would think..! I had a replacement steering rack fitted under warranty during the service at that time i had taken the car to my local dealer Conway land rover there I was told that I must pay for the rack  as the service manager  had not bothered to check or ask me if I had bought the car from land rover and was unaware that it had a land rover warranty. It seems there is no communication between dealerships and they obviously mistrust each other it seemed to matter to everyone I spoke to that I had not taken it back to the original dealership that sold me it though they would not say why it mattered .I  had already got off to a bad start with the service manager as the car I was to use during the service had a flat tyre on my arrival and I had to force him to grudgingly fit it himself after a wait of two hours he was obviously not impressed at my insistance. I informed him of the warranty and the repairs were reluctantly paid for by the warranty and duly carried out ..next The car went back to Conway for clutch repair which I foolishly  assumed would be covered by the extended warranty that I had been advised by letter from land rover to take out, though it turns out that this is nothing but  more pick pocketing by them and expense for us adding to the billion pounds of profit they made last year all that penny pinching mounts up it seems. I was happily informed by the  unfriendly service manager that the clutch was not covered as it was fair wear and tear and my responsibility I was puzzled how he knew it was not covered before they had dismantled the car and examined  the damage this cannot be right !,they obviously  know the warranty is useless yet they still offer it ,I contacted the warranty advisors and was told that the policy I had taken out was different to the land rover warranty which had expired and despite the land rover logos and picures of land rovers on the extended policy pamphlet i was told I had not renewed my policy as I was led to believe but  had changed it for a different useless policy from another company. I am seeking a refund for this due to their blatant mis selling.also there is a promise iof one clutch repair in large lettering in the extended warranty sales pamphlet yet no mention of  fair wear and tear..?? possibly rendering any claim being rejected even in small print..I was informed when disputing this that I had bought an older car that had now done 90.000 miles and I should expect this I asked where is the peace of mind I was promised by buying an approved land rover this is a total contrast to what I was led to expect when purchasing the car.I told them I consider them to be liars .when challenging the dealerships Conway and Roger young I was told by the buck passing ghouls that work there that they are a private company and not really land rover at all depite the land rover branding cars and logos everywhere, this un cooprative  unfair  underhand and obviously dodgy set up is  to protect their actual employers the shady manufacturers who only sell the cars through these chosen exclusive dealerships and not directly themselves I believe this is a handy smokescreen for them to ensure they make complaints as difficult as possible to persue. they consider themselves untouchable , these huge multinational companies care nothing for humanity or good relationships they care only for themselves and empty money.   also ,by the way there is an internal service bulletin issued by land rover stating that the clutches fitted to early disco3 s mine included are not fit for purpose the clutch parts have been updated twice and now the manual model is suspiciously no longer produced.the car was in Conway land rover for five weeks during this dispute which is ongoing I am seeking  a return of goods and  complete refund  from my finance company who will act for me as I still owe some money on the vehicle,.I have a letter back from them saying that they have contacted Roger young land rover who sold me the car and they say as the clutch has covered over 95 000 miles ,lies I have only 93000 on the clock they go on to say.which is 25000 in the 15 months I have owned it therefore the clutch is not covered in this case due to the unfair wear and tear clause, more lies the car  had 79000 on the clock when I bought it,therefore it is indisputable that i have only done 14000 in 15 months 11000 less than they claim if they lie about this so readily what else are they lying about to increase their massive profits ,I have had altercations with the staff at conway during this time and have been offered no explainations or any sort of apology for their despicable customer relations they all  merely repeat we are not land rover we are a private company like lying programmed robots scared of upsetting the big bosses and maybe losing the cushy job they sold their souls for,I have been forced to pay the 1500 pounds for a replacement clutch and flywheel as the garage needed the hire car back and I cannot be without a car or afford to pay for another.the car was returned to me on Friday evening I have driven it once since then as there is a noxious disgusting smell from under the bonnet which was not mentioned by the garage I will return the car to another land rover dealer on Monday for investigation as there may be further damage which is being kept from me I do not trust the dealerships and I do not feel the car is safely drivable, also the sunroof which I know was working fine no longer works and a sneaky dent has appeared in the roof above the sun roof motor I have contacted the police and reported this and possibly also the new suspicious disgusting smell as malicious damage and I am claiming on my insurance for the vandalism i hope those nice people  are going to have a nightmare week at conway land rover ,they deserve it,please do not buy an new or approved land rover or extended warranty from these people if you value your own peace of mind they are a nightmare
